Registered Nurse for Interventional Pain/Tuesday and Thursday/ Days shift/ part-time / .6 FTE

Utilizes the nursing process to plan, provide and evaluate patient care.
Initial and ongoing patient assessment is performed per hospital/unit standard and patient care needs.
Individualized Plan of Care is developed, initiated and resolved according to unit standards.
Delivers nursing care following Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission rules and regulations, current nursing practice standards and hospital policies.
Does not exceed nursing scope of practice.
Maintains standards for quality care through:
Core competencies Policies/procedures Hospital committees Joint Commission standards OSHA standards WISHA standards Department of Health rules and regulations Unit standards applicable to each unit Safety standards Specific professional nursing organization standards Administers medication within licensure and TRIOS HEALTH policies.
Delegates selected nursing functions to others in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
Supervises those to whom tasks have been delegated, monitoring for completion and documentation.
Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span.
Able to assess patient condition based on age and developmental status.
Identifies and plans age/development appropriate nursing interventions.
Implements plans and provides age-appropriate care as described in the department/unit policies and procedures.
Completes chart documentation on nursing unit as required by hospital standards.
Participates in hourly rounding in assigned department.
Consistently ensure necessary consents are obtained for procedures initiated in the unit.
Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians and hospital personnel, complying with the Hospital's policies and procedures relating to guest relations and staff relationships.
Accurately reports patient condition to other hospital team members.
Identifies, reports and documents unsafe practices.
Accurately communicates in planning and delivering care and discharge with ancillary personnel (i.
e.
Physical Therapy, Discharge Planner, Home Health, etc.
), physician, family and patient.
Always follows appropriate chain of command.
Effectively works at establishing a good rapport with hospital personnel and medical staff.
Consistently maintain operational knowledge of all equipment utilized in the Interventional Pain Medicine (IPM) department.
It is the nurse's responsibility to gain the knowledge in all areas of IPM.
Consistently demonstrate competence in recognizing potential complications and initiation of appropriate corrective measures.
Consistently ensure necessary consents are obtained for procedures initiated in the unit.
Consistently maintain working knowledge of procedure cart, crash cart.
Consistently prepare equipment/supplies and demonstrate competence in assisting with specialized IPM procedures.
Consistently evaluate equipment function and promptly identify/report malfunctioning equipment to appropriate department.
Consistently demonstrate competence in basic emergency care nursing skills, and IPM skills.
Performs skills of IPM nursing that are consistent with professional nursing standards.
Maintains required certification and education requirements:
BLS ACLS Moderate sedation Basic Rhythm Interpretation Strongly Recommended Understands, sets up and assists in IPM procedures.
Understands, sets up and assists in peri-operative patient care.
Understands, sets up and provides conscious sedation to patients.
Recommended Skills Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Basic Life Support Certified Nurse Practitioner Communication Health Care Nursing Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
