We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team at Cliff Thorn Construction.
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of residential and commercial construction projects.
You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate project cost estimates and help drive the success of our construction projects.

Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to understand project requirements and scope.
- Conduct thorough site visits to assess project conditions, potential challenges, and obtain necessary information for accurate cost estimation.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, subcontractor costs, equipment rentals, and other project expenses.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to obtain quotes and pricing for various construction components.
- Analyze and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Continuously update and maintain a database of current material costs, labor rates, and subcontractor pricing.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and negotiations with clients, architects, and subcontractors to clarify project requirements and resolve any ambiguities.
- Provide accurate and timely cost estimates to support project planning, budgeting, and proposal development.
- Collaborate with the project management team to review and assess project progress and identify any cost variations or potential risks.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new construction methods, and cost-efficient technologies to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in residential and commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Proficient in using construction estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
- Degree or certification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
